ABOUT DANNY

Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

On YouTube and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.

Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

  1. Hey Danny Maude. Brilliant! That’s a 5 start review for your videos, your tips, drills and enthusiasm!
Keep up the good work and keep those videos coming.

I’ve been struggling with the game for a couple of years now and working hard on your drills.

This one really seemed to connect with me. Finally I can feel the correct feeling at impact. Shot a smooth 39/39 and all feeling all three components was the right drill for me.

    Watching it again.

    Well done.
    Regards,
    George, Naples FL

  2. Danny, I’m 74, and when I do this drill I have a very limited backswing – I can barely get my left arm to parallel with the ground. What does that tell me? Should I be limiting my backswing to about that same position with golf club in hand? I tried that yesterday for 9 holes, and though it felt like I was only taking the club about half way back, my accuracy and ball striking were much better without much loss in distance. My ball striking has been very inconsistent the past few years, and I’m thinking maybe my old body wants me to take a shorter backswing so my arms and body can stay better connected. Does that make sense to you? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated…

    1. Larry Beavens that makes a lot of sense, try it out for a bit and see how it goes. Come back here and let me know how it goes

  3. Hi Danny,Greetings from Bintulu,Sarawak, Malaysia. THANKS a lot for this drill. Was hitting my driver 100mph and straight. I guess this is a wonderful lesson and drill.Im sure my handicap coming down soon.Stopped my slices and feel more natural pressing my hands down. You lessons are awesome !!!!

  4. Great video because it gives me something other than mindlessly hitting balls at the range. Getting muscle memory makes a lot of sense. I’ll give it a crack when next at the range.
