Golf swing drill for more speed and improve sequence that is natural and improve golf swing for ultimate golf lessons free.
Alex Fortey from the Art of Simple Golf is with Alistair Davies share a great golf lesson with that gives you a simple golf tip to improve your impact and lag for golf swing and ultimately a more consistent and better golf swing.
Do you hate trying to reach long par-4’s in two and need to use a lot of hybrids and long irons for your approach shots? If either of these sound like you the it’s likely you find it difficult to create lag in the golf swing and are desperate for that extra bit of power to help make the game easier.
Well you’re not alone, most golfers I see struggle for distance and as a result find golf a lot more difficult than it needs to be.
Believe me, there is a big difference to hitting an 8-iron into a par-4 than a hybrid and it shooting a lower score is much more realistic and consistent.
The good news is it’s not as difficult as you might think to hit longer golf shots and shorting clubs into holes.
In a previous video we shared a table drill that you can use at home to feel a golf swing sequence and timing to get lag and improve contact. This is part 2.
Using an alignment stick placed in the ground 1club head width outside of the golf ball as a guide.
Place the stick into the ground on an angle similar to you 7 iron shaft at set up.
The top of the stick is your guide here and golf swing feel we are after is to get he butt of the grip and you make your downswing to approach the impact area to line up.
Using the pump sequence you can ingrain a nice impact for your golf swing that has lag and compression. This drill is simple and effective. It may not feel easy at first, but it works.
Make sure though that you still release all the way through to the target and focus your mind on the target and not stopping your golf swing by hitting at the ball.
Use this golf swing drill for lag and let me know how you get on.

It’s no secret that golf has become an over-complicated game for players and coaches alike, you only need to do a quick search online for golf backswing tips and you will be bombarded with, one plane and two plane golf swings, training aids, DVD’s and equipment that promises to give you the “Perfect Golf Swing“.
