– Senior golfers oftentimes think that their lack of a full backswing is due to a lack of flexibility. In most cases golfers (not just seniors) aren’t utilizing their full range of motion. In this golf instructional video, Mike will show you how you can get a fuller backswing and more distance without increasing flexibility.

  1. Thank you Mike! The final tip nailed it- my left arm was coming out and around instead of staying under the left shoulder. At least in practice swings this makes a huge difference. Can’t wait to try the new backswing!!!

    1. Leonard Dzubow, there you go! You’re just gonna have to put in a lot of reps to change that habit. But it’s a great time of year to practice that Backswing!

  2. Keeping that left arm under control had been an issue with me recently, every now and then I have to put a glove under that arm to remind myself of where that arm needs to be. Makes for a more compact swing, but have not lost any distance because of it and if truth be told, I can get more distance if I am pulling through the ball like I should. Thanks for reinforcing that thought.
