In today’s video I am back with my long suffering and ever patient coach Matt Tucknott from Cornwall Golf Lessons.

Today IS PART TWO of our latest course vlog showcasing a great little course near Redruth where Matt does some of his teaching.

And today Matt shows his class…

Radnor Golf Club is a nine hole Par 3 course with two separate tee positions to create an 18 hole course.

Matt is a top class PGA coach and works under the name Cornwall Golf Lessons and can be contacted in various ways below for lessons and advice.

HI THERE. MY NAME IS JOHN RO OGDEN, BUT OGGIE WILL DO…

I am a newbie golfer, 51 Years old and lets say, hmm a BIG lad… But that doesn’t stop me, I have a passion for the sport and although I have lots to learn I want to prove to people that Golf can be enjoyed by anyone, regardless of age, size, shape or experience.

BIG OGGIE GOLF is my new channel dedicated to ALL golfers.

We can’t all be professional or scratch standard and many of us will never get close, but we can still have FUN.

So there will be regular Vlogs, Product reviews and Golf Course reviews from around the UK as well as Worldwide.

We will meet many golfers and golf fans along the way and I hope you will get to see things a little differently from the usual Golf Youtube Channels out there.

There will also be lots of fun to be had and once the channel is established regular Competitions for Channel subscribers to take part in.
Golf sometimes gets a bad press and whilst occasionally that might be justified I hope to show it as not quite as stuffy and stereotyped as one would imagine.
There will also be my thoughts on what makes golf seem so stressful for people just starting out, and I will be looking at ways of making that all important first step a little easier.

    1. +BIG OGGIE GOLF ahh yes I see, filming would be tough on my homecourse in Staten Island. It gets so busy sometime!

    2. Hi Michael, yes purely time factor, small nine hole course with two sets of tees means it gets busy quickly so don’t want to slow people up too much when we film.

  1. Another entertaining vlog, you two are enjoyable to watch. As Matt is a pro and knows the course I’d expect him to do well. Oggie are you sure that putter is right for you? I’d personally go for one with more alignment aid to give as much help as possible lining up the putts, I’d struggle with that Scotty you’ve got.

    1. BIG OGGIE GOLF the fitter didn’t just convince you it was the right putter because it was one the most expensive ones did he?? Ker-ching 🤩💰Forgive me for being cynical. Putting indoors on a putting Matt or a flat practice green is easy, on the actual greens you need to align yourself differently; a small headed putter with little to no alignment aid is a challenge. I would say try some different styles and different face inserts and see how your distance control feels. You can have one or more putters..I do, as do many golfers. Think about it. Good luck! 😁

    2. Hi there Graham, thank you for your kind comments. I have to say that the greens at Radnor are amazingly tricky to read and I was actually fitted for my Scotty. But like you I am starting to maybe think about looking at some alternatives. Just to put my mind at rest I guess.

    1. Hi there Lewis, to be honest I don’t have a particular ball that I use. I do get some different ones given to me and of course I buy lots as well. So it could be any number of brands in my bag at any one time.

  2. Ogie, Matt. Great video as always. Ogie, you changed club 8 to 9 and left u short, shame you listened to Matt! You could of played easy 7 or 6 and put it on the green. I always over club and ignore what others do, and it gives you more confidence of what your game is, goid or bad. Just saying. Loved Matt’s attempts to get you sponsored, Haribo 😂

    1. Hi there Graeme I have to say that one of my problems right now is confidence. I seem to have lost some and am now hitting a lot of shots short because I am worrying that the hall needs to be in the right direction first and foremost. In reality I need to relax and as you say, maybe over Club and get up near or on that dance floor.
