Tom Lewis produced the biggest 54-hole comeback of the season to win the Portugal Masters for the second time at Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course.

The Englishman fired an opening 72 on Thursday to sit nine shots behind first-round leader Lucas Herbert but rounds of 63 and 61 meant he was just two behind the Australian heading into the final round in Vilamoura.

The Portugal Masters is held at the Arnold Palmer-designed Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course in Portugal. Defending champion Lucas Bjerregaard returns to the scene of his maiden European Tour victory. Previous winners of the tournament include Padraig Harrington, Lee Westwood and Andy Sullivan.

  1. One of the most stylish swingers on the European Tour, I remember Tom first appeared on the scene by holding the 1st round lead with Thomas Bjorn in the 2011 Open Championship. Lets hope this confidence boost moves him into the category of regular winners.

  2. Bummer about this tourney. Had a 59 & all around great event. But with the PGA going on, Woods about to win, views gotta be down.
